First let me remind all that this is the beginning of the spring fling and we are booking up fast. So if you want to get a good guide for this spring, I would say call me or them  as soon as possible with a date or two in mind already for when you can get here. TIPS FOR HIRING A GUIDE. When hiring a guide ask a lot of questions, and if you can get along over the phone, you stand a good chance of getting along in person. There's a lot a good fisherman out there guiding, but few good guides out there fishing. What I mean by that make sure you get a guide who's interest is in what your going to catch is greater than what he can catch. No body likes to pay someone to catch fish while they watch from the back seat. Ask if there full time guides or seasonal.  Check to see if they live close to the lake, or hours away. Last but not least , ask around even other guides. Good Luck and Fishing. BASS have started waking up around the lake from shallow water to deep. Seasonal Patterns kicking in. Spinners and traps shallow and jigs deep. Black , Black Blue etc. seem to be the keys to a jig bite.  Chrome or RED traps and white, white chartreuse spinners .                                                          FOR MORE DETAILED FISHING REPORTS YOU WILL HAVE TO E-MAIL YOUR REQUEST TO :    michael@thelakeforkfishingguides.com

Main lake points and bridges.  515 West and 154 North. Started moving around SRA and Bryant, and Little Boy. Should only get better for the fall and winter fishing seasons. Double Jig rigs in your favorite colors.  I used Black Grey hair jig with Green emerald plastic jig combo and had 14 keepers last sat. Caught over 30 fish total just off SRA and Bird island . Released them to some grease sat. night and they were excellent.   See you crappie lovers out there.
